-
We call or email to schedule
We reply, usually within one business day. The fee for the consultation, if any, is confirmed before you book.
Who: The firm
-
You meet the attorney
In person at the office, by phone or by video. The attorney explains your options and what each one involves.
Who: You and the attorney
Fees
Some consultations have a fee and some do not, depending on the kind of case. The fee is confirmed before you book, and you are not charged for anything you did not agree to.
If you hire the firm afterward, the fee for the work is set out in a written engagement letter.
Languages
Choose your language on the form. If an attorney speaks it, the firm will schedule you with that attorney when possible.
If no attorney speaks your language, the firm arranges an interpreter. See attorneys by language.
What to bring
- Your passport and any U.S. visa
- Any notice, approval or letter you have received from USCIS, the Department of State or the immigration court
- Your I-94 record, if you are in the United States
- For employers: the job description, if you have one
- For investors: a summary of the business or project you are considering
Bring copies. The attorney will tell you if anything else is needed.
Before you write
Sending a request does not create an attorney-client relationship. The firm represents you only after we confirm it in writing.
Please do not include confidential details, such as passport numbers, A-numbers or case history. The attorney will ask for them when the time comes.
